Description |
The "Paddy Hill Day" dance in Mendota was a fundraiser for Irish Northern Aid. Music was provided by the Dayhills (Tom Dahill, Barbara Dahill, Charlie Heymann and Ann Heymann) with special guests including St. Paul/Roscommon accordion player Martin McHugh, an unknown bodhran player (possibly John Corrigan) and two wellknown musicians from Chicago: Terence "Cuz" Teahan and Mary McDonagh. The event was named in honor of poet/singer/fiddler Paddy Hill who attended and spoke from the stage. In this photo, Tom Dahill and Paddy Hill himself are on stage. Charlie Heymann, Barbara Dahill and Mary McDonagh look on from side stage. |
